Snowshoeing walks
Follow nature's path and explore the enchanting Alpine forests and hamlets. Our diverse itineraries allow you to experience breathtaking scenery, tailored to every season and snow condition.

For the experienced, our morning walks maintain a steady pace, while beginners can enjoy a more relaxed pace during the afternoon walks.
We use a minibus, inter-resort shuttle bus, or ski lifts to reach some of the hikes (please bring €5 as a precaution).

FAQ

We answer all your questions

What equipment should you bring?
  • - Footwear: preferably high-top shoes, with good ankle support.
    - Clothing: As you walk, your body warms up. You'll need to pack layers in your rucksack, along with a drink and some dried fruit or cereal bars...
- The snowshoes are adapted to the body shape of the walkers and the poles are telescopic (provided by theesf).
ARE SNOWSHOE WALKS ACCESSIBLE TO ALL?
The hikes are generally accessible to everyone. However, if you are pregnant or have specific medical problems, please inform your guide, who will look after your well-being. Hiking at altitude may be contraindicated for people with heart problems or those who are overweight.
WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS ON HEALTH?
The longest hikes can have a maximum difference in altitude of 300 m and a 2? hour walk interspersed with breaks on different themes.
The body adapts very quickly to altitude. General fitness improves spectacularly in a week. The level of the hikes also increases significantly with each passing day.
ANY TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF THIS WALK?
The first discovery is walking on water! Snow is water in its crystalline form: over 21 different types of crystal!
It's walking in wonder at nature... Walking in search of meaning.

  • 1. Disconnect: Just like during a show, you can put your mobile phone on standby to enjoy the show to the full.

2. Let your body take its own rhythm: After twenty minutes or so, during a break, your guide can suggest a Chi Kong session: relax your breathing to release muscular and mental tension.

3. Stimulate your 5 senses by reading nature: just look around and marvel at the beauty of the landscape! Learn to identify the tracks left in the snow by a squirrel, roe deer, doe or wolf! Use your fingertips to recognise the thin bark of a birch tree or the rough bark of a larch... Listen to the wind playing in the branches, the snow crunching under your feet, recognise the song of a nutcracker or a black woodpecker... Nibble on a larch or spruce bud or suck on a juniper berry... Breathe in the pure, healthy air...

4. Walk with full awareness: feel 'anchored', with your feet firmly planted. Let yourself be carried away by the presence of the forest, the imposing presence of the peaks and the limpid winter light...
